Wet tan: £25.00
Dry tan: £35.00
Mounted (LIFESIZE): £60.00
Termanology:Wet tan: The pelt is tanned, oiled and frozen. The pelt will be shipped 'wet' (though more dry, to avoid leakage), or allowed to dry. It will not be stretched/broken, and therefore will be needed to be rehydrated and broken by the person mounting the pelt. This tan is better for taxidermy mounts.
Dry tan: This tan is fully dried, broken and sanded to a soft leather. This is more suitable for rugs, wallhangers, or to store the skin longer. It can be rehydrated for mounting at a later date, but will have little to no stretch to it.
Lifesize: This is a taxidermy mount, lifesize on a handmade taxidermy form. The client has a choice of whatever pose they would like the animal in. All animals come with standard taxidermy eyes - custom eyes are more. All taxidermy mounts are freestanding - bases are more.
